Learn 2 Drive, LLC ("Learn 2 Drive," "we," or "us") provides driving lessons in the Kansas City area. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using our website or booking lessons, you agree to this policy.
1. Information We Collect
When you book lessons, we collect:
- Contact information: the name, cell phone number, and email of the person booking. For students under 18, this is the parent or legal guardian, along with their relationship to the student.
- Student information: the student's name, date of birth, and pickup address.
- Permit information: the learner's permit number and expiration date. We do not collect copies or photos of permits — students show the original at each lesson.
- Signed agreements: consent and waiver agreements and your photo permission choice.
- Text message consent: which optional text message consent boxes you checked, and when.
- Lesson records: bookings, attendance, and instructor progress notes.
- Payment information: processed securely by our third-party payment processor. We do not store full card numbers.
- Messages you send us by text or email.
We also collect basic technical information automatically when you visit our website, such as your IP address, browser and device type, and pages visited, through cookies and analytics tools.
2. How We Use Your Information
- Schedule and deliver lessons, including student pickup
- Send booking confirmations, waivers, scheduling links, lesson reminders, progress reports, and permit expiration reminders
- Process payments, including charging the card on file for late cancellations or no-shows as described in our lesson policies
- Answer your questions and ask for feedback about your experience, including review requests by text if you opt in
- Improve our website and services, and meet legal requirements
We do not sell your personal information.
3. Text Messages
Text messages are optional and are not required to book. Our booking form has two separate, optional consent boxes:
- Non-marketing texts. If you opt in, we send text messages about your lessons, including booking confirmations, scheduling updates, appointment reminders, consent and waiver agreements, booking calendar links, and customer service replies to your questions about lessons, payments, or your account.
- Review requests. If you separately opt in, we may also send promotional text messages asking you to review your experience.
Consent is not a condition of purchase. Message frequency varies; message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for assistance. Opting out of texts does not affect your lessons — we'll reach you by email instead.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties.
4. Students Under 18
For students under 18, a parent or legal guardian provides the booking information, signs the waiver, chooses whether to opt in to texts, and receives all of our texts and emails. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13.
5. Photos and Videos
We only share a student's photo or video on social media with signed permission — from a parent or guardian for students under 18. You can withdraw permission at any time by contacting us.
6. Who We Share Information With
We share information only with service providers that help us run our business, such as our payment processor, our scheduling, messaging, and e-signature platform, and analytics tools. They may use your information only to provide services to us. We may also disclose information if required by law.
7. Security and Retention
We use reasonable safeguards and reputable platforms to protect your information, though no system is completely secure. We keep information only as long as needed to provide our services and keep required business, legal, and insurance records — signed waivers may be kept longer for this reason. When information is no longer needed, we delete it.
8. Your Choices
- Ask to see, correct, or delete the information we have about you (except records we must keep, such as signed waivers)
- Opt out of texts, including review requests, by replying STOP, or unsubscribe from emails using the link in any email
- Manage cookies through your browser settings
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
